I was confident. Fearless. Beautiful. Strong. Social. I was, I was a size 6 UK wearing lady. Life was amazing and colorful and nothing could, possibly, go wrong, or so I thought. To further convince me of this was the tall, dark and handsome gentleman whose attention I caught. No surprise when he put a ring on it.
I am a Christian and naturally, in the past decade, I have attended hundreds of conferences. With each passing year, I strive to objectively review their effect on my life and if they have brought about the change that drew me to those meetings in the first place. Many us need to carry out this mental review dispassionately from time to time.
It dawned on me in May, 2016 it was that strike season again; a time students always dread, a time when some students tend to lose focus, gain weight, get pregnant, start something new, take up new skills, make new friends and visit new places. Yes, it was about that time that my life changed for the better. It was during this time that I took a major decision in my life.I started my Instagram platform during the OAU strike in 2016.
Recently, one of my Clients shared the story of how she engaged her kids in the family business with The Guardian and I think parents can learn from it. Enjoy.
I started this blog for a number of reasons, first because I wanted to create a platform of my own on which share my ideas with the world, lend my voice to issues and such. With time, it grew into a platform that carried more than my voice, I started to curate content. In the end, I seek to inspire, encourage, remind and possibly jolt someone in a good way or even make you smile. This is why you will find interviews, stories and a myriad of positive content on the blog.
The Hallelujah Challenge (like the Tongue challenge) started “innocently” and before mid June, had become a revolution that even its Convener (Nathaniel Bassey) did not envisage. Many hearts were drawn to heartfelt worship of God. But none of it was a surprise to me really. I’d seen his service and heart for God over 12 years ago when I attended at The City of David and UNILAG back in the day. I was privileged to catch up with him at our Song 23 Studios just after he recorded his vocals for the Olowogbogboro Anthem. Enjoy.
